8. I'd probably fall asleep
I used to love Gabriel and think everything he did up to 1992 is flawless, but his last 2 albums (and basically his entire output of the past 20 years) has been dull as dirt. Up was a trainwreck of songs that didn't know when to end and was as delayed and overproduced as GNR's Chinese Democracy.

The covers album from last year, in which every track was a slow, dramatic reading of song lyrics over a sparse string section, was pointless and uninspired.

I wish he'd quit being "Serious Artist Peter Gabriel" and write a catchy song or two again.

I'm not asking him to rewrite Sledgehammer endlessly, but could he at least put a little life into his music again?
