1. Anytime Mr. Rogers was going to visit a factory
would be my son's favorite segment of the show.
After Mr. Rogers died I thought of writing to his wife suggesting that she discuss with PBS about making video tapes, or DVDs, of compilations of those visits, because we, children and adults, all enjoyed watching them.

3. I used to watch with my Dad
Would he wear his sweater or his jacket?

:-)

My Mom and I watched Captain Kangaroo while she ironed my Dad's work shirts. She definitely got more starch on me than the shirts.

4. I always got the feeling though that the Captain took off the jacket and wig at the end of the day
And could sling down a pint or two and swear and hold his own against the crudest the pub had to offer.

Mr Rogers's seemed to be NOT shitck. From everything I've ever heard he really was that kind. Authentically.

The universe is a bit emptier without him.
