What's everyone making this weekend?

Skirt steak marinated in chill, cumin, garlic

A Whole Chicken marinated thai chili paste, cocnut milk and brown sugar

Ribs in a traditional rub(brown sugar, paprika etc)

hot dogs and Italian sausage

For veggies

green collard greens, potatoe salad and grilled asparagus

1. I'm having TV dinners.

Really. I love them. Well the one that I can eat. The rest aren't vegetarian.

2. We just got back from a cookout- hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken kabobs

with veggies, ribs, cucumber salad, potato salad, taco salad, rice krispie treats, lemon cupcakes, and chocolate cheesecake cupcakes.

3. Do you mean tomorrow?

We are having traditional BBQ fare: hotdogs, burgers, potato salad, etc.

We had grilled turkey tournados, baked potatoes and salad tonight.

4. My brother made green beens that were boiled for 3 minutes then

sauted with butter and curry powder. Yummy! Chicken with a chutney sauce.

5. Nothing special. The kids made a fire Saturday night and cooked veggie dogs over it.

That's about the extent of our weekend food fest, although we did crack open a watermelon yesterday - really sweet.

6. Ribs cooked low and slow. On before dawn. Taken out only at the fading of the light.

Falling off the bone at the thought of being touched.


Paired with some home-made BBQ sauce from an old family recipe. The thought of which, if you'd had it once would make the edges of your tongue curl in memory.

Some baked beans. Some potato salad. scratch dat. mashed potatoes

Some homemade blackberry pie. With Hagan Daas 5 Vanilla Ice Cream. But with store bought blackberries. Looks like the drought is going to kill any real chances for wild blackberries this year.
