All of the non-UPS lights are dimming several times a minute. We've got a dozen or more UPS units throughout the house, so we won't be in the dark. WHOA - the entire house just started beeping. We had a full power drop. I just shut down my main server to save the juice in the UPS it is on. Things look ugly on the weather maps.

Unfortunately, my wife and youngest two daughters are in the van on the way back from karate. It can't be great travel weather, but at least the van has new tires that are designed for this shit - Michelin HydroEdge. The wiper blades are fairly new too. I was on my way to pick up my daughter at college a few months ago and one of the fuckers was split and flopping around. I went to the auto parts store first.
