I've decided I'm legally changing my first name to "What" and my last name to "TheFuck."
That way, people will call me on the phone, and I'll pick up and say "What TheFuck" and they'll say "Sorry, i guess I must have the wrong number," and they'll hang up, and I can finally have some damned peace, and after a while, the calls will probably stop altogether.

YEAH...it's been THAT kind of day.

4. I got tired of telemarketers one night (in a bad mood) and yelled "FUCK OFF!" when I picked up.
Then I immediately hung up. Shocked the shit out of my wife and kids.

9. I told one to "Stop F*cking calling"
then went on to rant how I work second shift and sleep in a little late ... blah blah ... and then I slammed the phone down.

I normally don't answer if I don't recognize the number but this same number called every day for two weeks straight, twice a day. I finally got sick of them calling so I answered.

10. I usually either ignore "UNKNOWN CALLER" or answer and hang up immediately to get it to stop ringing
It mostly depends on whether or not I'm by a phone.

5. 2 things:
.
.
.
#1.
.
I was raised with pretty formal phone etiquette, so my response to calls at YOUR house woulda been:
.
"The Fuck residence. MiddleFingerMom speaking." (true formula for us kids)
.
.
#2.
.
When I was with the 101st Airborne, part of the time we'd draw duty as THE First Response Team
for any global emergencies (this is pre-terrorist era prior to the hardcore Delta teams and the like).
We had gotten a tip that a TEST call-out would happen at 6:00 AM on Friday with some likely field
time. As did MOST healthy young soldiers, those of us with live-in SO's were ready for the call and
tried to time our (ahem) physical relationships to take place at the very last minute... to "minimize"
what could be a very long dry spell.
.
Phone rings. We're not QUITE done. I reach over, pick up the phone and -- VERY VERY out-of-breath --
I say, This had BETTER be fucking good!!!!"
.
My First Sergeant (I worked directly for him). He laughed and said, "Relax, buddy... they pulled me
off MY wife, too."
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Civilians haven't a clue as to all the things we do for them.

14. True story (and one of my proudest ad lib lines EVER):
.
.
.
Probably around 1990 or so, a friend of mine caught up to me walking downtown
and asked, "Didn't you hear me WHISTLE at you?"
.
.
.
I said, "Darlin', if I turned every time I heard someone whistle at me..."
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
..."I'd be spinnin' like a top."
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Obviously, I've always had issues with my self-confidence.
