4. I actually liked it

Granted, Ginny and I were always suckers for the Pirates franchise, but without giving away any of the plot, the movie touches on a number of things my fellow DUers can resonate with. And although I do miss Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, I think Penelope Cruz does a great job filling the void and keeping Johnny Depp on his toes.

7. cool.. not a movie i'm going to pay to see but glad you liked it

i'm pretty picky when it comes to movies i pay to see. they need to be in the Really Damn Good category. i'll pay to see two or three movies a year at most at a theater. prices are ridiculous.

3. I saw it last night and loved it

I can't see 3D so I can't go by that (though I heard the 3D was not worth the money), but I really enjoyed the movie itself. Infinitely better than the last two IMO. Have a good time!

5. There are pluses and minuses to the 3D version

The plus is there are some very nice 3D effects to behold. The minus is that the 3D glasses darken the film a bit, which is already shot a little dark to begin with.
