Poll question: Now that the Rapture didn't happen, you now have to
do what that you blew off, thinking you might get away with it? :P

1. I need to pick up more brandy and a case of beer - hadn't planned to blow off that run.

2. I made mine earlier this week
because you can't run out of booze, regardless of whether the world ends - or not. :P

3. Oh, I wouldn't be out of booze - just out of brandy and beer.
And that would be bad.

4. Unpack all my stuff
I had everything packed up ready to move into a big assed house down the street, pickup truck backed up to the door and everything :(

5. Shake my head at the number of "democrats"/"liberals"
who have outed themselves as cretins who prefer to mock others beliefs instead of following principles!

But it must be okay since those they mock aren't of a different color or sexual orientation!

6. Shake my head at the number of posters telling DUers we are all wrong about everything.
With blanket statements like yours. Have a nice weekend, though.

9. So does that mean we should nod along with Teabagger/Republican beliefs?
Because, you know, we wouldn't want to "mock" people's beliefs.

10. I intend to mock the teabaggers because they've mocked everything I hold dear. It's not tit for tat,
Though. It's survival.

11. I get religion shoved down my throat all the time --

I'm expected to shut up and say nothing, even according to many on DU. Non-believers have next to no voice in this country. The Internet has given us more of a voice, but we're constantly told to mind ourselves because it's unseemly that we say anything and that we should "respect" the patent nonsense that is always being spouted at us and around us. A lot of us have had enough of just staying quiet our whole lives. I do not believe "faith" should be a separate category that is off limits from criticism. If anything, it should invite more criticism because it is not based on facts, but rather it is based on stories people have pulled from their imagination and the parroting of these stories on down through the centuries.

Critical thinking is almost non-existent in this country because obviously stupid and false statements are almost always left unchallenged.

7. I'll be going out for frozen yogurt with my mother

Which sounds delightful, if you don't know my mother. The rapture would have been less stressful. :eyes:

(I kid, she's a lovely woman.)
