1 estate sale several homes got bed bugs

Several neighbors have been infected with bed bugs. The one common denominator is an estate sale from March. The house was sold, but the new owners haven't closed yet. It seems they want a fumigation before taking possession. I can't blame them. We didn't get anything at that sale. Our lucky day. :-) Some our spending close to $1,000 with just a 30 day guarantee.

1. Its hard to believe the people who had the estate sale didn't

know about the bed bugs. I am very leery of used anything these days. I tell friends who still buy used clothes to go directly to a laundromat or dry cleaners.

2. They can sit dormant for a good time

Plus they breed quickly, like so many insects. Plus, the people who run estate sales don't always know much of anything about what they are selling or the conditions under which it was kept.

all of which is to say, I can believe they wouldn't know. Of course I could also believe they didn't care.
