Post photos of your feathered friends!
I've seen dog photos and cat photos but I think it's time for our beloved avians to get some attention.

Basil, my sweet Quaker parrot.

1. This is Rose
She is a Pilgrim gosling. Just hatched last friday afternoon.

My first goose. I'm pretty excited to see just how tame and personable I can make her through a lot of TLC.

She is the only one of the first set of eggs that hatched.

I've got 4 more in the incubator due this weekend, I hope that at least on of those will make it, and that I will get a boy as well.

Thanks for looking.

6. I call her evil monkey bird.
Killer of potted plants, destroyer of furniture, and screaming herder of hell's demons.

Cute, sometimes affectionate, and talks only when she feels like it.

But seriously, you don't want one. After twenty or thirty years these evil monkey birds know how to push every last one of your hot buttons. After all, they've got plenty of time to figure out how to manipulate you into giving them whatever they want.

Our pets are terrified of her. She does not consider herself a pet.

If you can't imagine spending most of your lifetime dealing with a creature who makes temper-tantrum throwing two year old human children look tame, get a dog or a cat instead.

9. I've always wanted a grey, they're so full of personality!
Definitely not for the inexperienced bird owner though. Do you get Bird Talk? They have a monthly "Memo" to a pair of greys one of the writers own and it's always hilarious to read about their hijinks.

10. She looks like a destroyer of drywall as well.
My uncle has had an African Grey for the last 30 years... He is, aptly, named Billy Martin. The tantrums that bird throws are out of this world.

12. Gary, meet your temptress!
Gary is an immensely affectionate bird. Recently I had to go out of town. I got an emergency call that he was not eating. So I left about 20 messages and he started munching again.

Though he loves humans, he beats the crap out of birds and bosses dogs around.

He likes movies and usually roots for the dinosaurs.

He also helps your phone calls...

Hello? Uh-huh--- Yeah=== You want some more time to think about it?

I can see by her beak she is still a youngster. Gary is a robust 6 year old and weighs an enormous 1 pound, 1 ounce.

He knows context all too well. Something falls... Oh crap!

Microwave beeps... "The food is ready NOW!"

Neighbor's dogs are barking Shut up! many more examples.
