2. Not at all if you are talking food.
For all the talk, I've never had anything "hot" in Texas. And for the record, the only Hooters I was ever in that had nothing but A-cups for waitresses was in "we grow 'em big" Texas.

10. I asked for HOT salsa for the chips in a bar in San Antonio and after a strange stare
the waitress brought me salsa that had been microwaved.

True story.

12. and maybe, just maybe
your waitress was an airhead, or had moved to SA recently or did the best with what she had (after all, you don't go to bars for the salsa). But no, the fact that she brought you salsa heated up in the nuker means that all Texans are idiots & the food sucks. :eyes:

7. "When I die, I ain't afraid I'll go to hell, cuz I already rode through Texas" -- old cowboy joke
I remember once when I lived there, we had 115+ every day for over forty-five days

I remember once being really excited about a coming summer thunderstorm, which I hoped would cool down the day. Then the rain came, the temperature dropped maybe ten or fifteen degrees, and the rain hit the egg-fry-hot pavement and steamed up. So the afternoon was, like, 95F with 100% humidity
