31. I bet he looks better than all the people he knew who have died.
Such silliness lamenting the looks of the survivors. Nobody gets out alive and most of us won't be pretty.

2. That was prety interesting.
You're right. Some aged quite gracefully, others...not so much.

And I feel a lot younger than I did five minutes ago.

4. I hate to say it but I never thought John Paul Jones was the hot guy in Zeppelin...

But of the 3 surviving members he aged the best and damn, he got good looking! (Jones is the far right)

Roger Waters also looked like a freak of nature when he was younger but he's aged really well too

I think the point here is simple - sometimes long hair on a man is not the answer.

11. Totally agree on Roger Waters. He aged very well, and actually looks handsome now.
He grew into his looks (he's very tall -- 6'4" ish) and as you note was quite odd looking when he was younger.

13. "(Jones is the far right)"
Um... right?

For you younguns in the audience, those four are (left to right) John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, Jason Bonham and Jimmy Page.

As for Waters, here is a side-by-side:

17. I hope I look one-tenth as good as Roger
when I am 67, as he is now. He has become very distinguished-looking w/o becoming stuffy and still looks like an age-appropriate rock musician. The Wall Anniversary show I saw last fall was the best live event of any kind I have ever seen in 35 years of concert going.

5. Some of the contemporary photos were chosen for their unflattering comparison to the youthfull
pictures.

The new ones are mostly flash photos from bad angles.

There is also a 40-year difference in age for most of these pictures.

Compare yourself at say, 22, and 62.

How do you think you will look?

Hey,
Some of them reflect the rough lives they have led, others I suspect the plastic surgeon was involved. Bob always looks cool imho and his face reflects the road he has traveled.

Peace

But yeah, I think they all look much much better now then they did as youngsters. I think they were trying too hard to look the part and now they just seem to be themselves.

And he's still tiny.

But yeah, that's a good pic.

23. The Boss don't look bad there. And Grace Slick looks her age. Good for her!
She didn't give into the celebrity disease of denying the effects of age though facial mutilation.

The best band on the road right now is FURTHUR. Sometimes it is just like seeing them in 75. In some ways it is better even.

Here we are 40 years later and they still blow my mind.

I know I certainly don't. Age is what happens to you if you live long enough.
