Scratch almost ANY conservative and I'd bet they'd tell you that the Nanny State is responsible for
kids not being able to "have fun" with these any more.

They WERE the shit... says someone who eventually kicked a 3-pack-a-day habit of REAL cigarettes.

3. I don't remember ANY flavors...
.
.
.
...other than that generic strange powder-dusted pink bubblegum flavor that was not
as good as Bazooka gum, but OK.

.
.
My trick? Taking a puff and shouting, "SMOKE RING" and P-TOOOOing a wet, goobery
Cheerio at my little brother.

.
If it stuck to his forehead, it was fall-down-laughing-while-trying-not-to-wet-yourself GOOD!!!

6. The turning point had to be this 1967 PSA, "Like Father, Like Son".

I too remember chocolate and candy cigarettes.

People really started to reconsider their wisdom after this short began airing.

The hipster soundtrack in 5/4 time was pretty badass too.
