I just watched a fascinating documentary last night called Vinyl.
It's about record collectors on the surface, but it has little to do with the actual music and much more to do with the psychology of collectors. It's one those little hidden gems, and I found it thoroughly entertaining. While the topic is record collecting, I suspect collectors of any type will associate with some of this. I used to have over 10,000 comic books, and I currently have almost 2,000 CDs, so I know I could. :)

Here's the first few minutes...

2. There's some people in this film that give him a run for his money, trust me.
And thanks for the flashback. :)

3. Robert Crumb
Has one of the largest "blues" collections.
Most dating back to the earliest of days.

I must see this film.

5. That's a great thing to collect!
even to hoard :P For real though!! This looks good.

We're upset with how the cats clawed the edges of some of our record covers a few years ago. but Oh Well, everything cannot be perfect..

6. My Uncle Kenny
used to love dragging out his huge collection of 45' s and tell me something interesting about just about every one of them.

One of his lucky kids probably has them now. I hope they appreciate them because Uncle Kenny sure did. Most of them were from the 1940s and 1950s

I remember my Uncle John having an old victrola with one of those horn thingys. cool stuff
