Anything sandy is good. Kitty litter tends to dissolve, and track everywhere! Salt is hard on the lawn, and small quantities dissappear into the ice.

We got the car unstuck with the help of our neighbor. Can you just imagine if we(DU) all lived in the same town? I would post about being stuck and you would come to help along with 200 other people. :-)

We usually keep one bag in each trunk during the winter.
