Roughly speaking, the script goes: I'm worried this bill could fuck over a lot of people, including maybe you. Do you think you or somebody you know could be totally fucked over by this bill? Options follow.

Three hours I spend punching phone buttons. Some conversations go like this

It won't fuck me over so I don't really give a rat's ass

or like this

OMG *pause* This bill would, like, totally fuck me over
Would you call and ask the governor to oppose it?
I'd really rather not do that

or even like this

I oppose this bill. Everyone I know opposes this bill
Would you be willing to call the governor tollfree to oppose it
I don't think the governor appreciates phone calls
The governor has a tollfree citizen comment line
I just couldn't possibly do that

People just amaze me. Let someone else be the one do that. Jeez, it isn't like they aren't using phones constantly, why are they afraid to call the people who work for them? I know my boss isn't afraid to call me.
