Help me out here. Have you ever heard of anything like this?
Long story short, I have just ended a homeowner nightmare today. I have spent $14,000 on this furnace problem and my plumber/furnace installer finally figured it out today.
For the first time in six years, I do not have to go to the basement on a regular basis to keep the heat going in my house. I can finally stop getting up at 4:30 a.m. to start feeding water to the furnace manually. We can all stop living with temperatures in the mid- to high fifties.
The problem is finally solved.
But here was my reaction: I had a TMJ attack. It started coming on when my plumber told me he solved the problem and that the nightmare was over. For those who don't know, a TMJ attack is one of the most painful experiences you can have. The jaw goes into a muscle spasm and the person can't turn their head or even talk because the pain is so intense. These attacks can go on for days.
My plumber charged me a very reasonable fee, knowing what I had been through for the last six years, so it's not the money.
I just can't understand this reaction I'm having.
Also, I should add that the only other time I get these attacks is when I have to go on vacation, something I really don't like because I like my work so much.
Any ideas? Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? I want to research this but I haven't a clue about a search term.
