I made my sweetie some of my delicious fudge with walnuts in it. I also created my own card with a photo from our wedding.

8. I gave my wife her valentines gift early

gave it to her on Sunday. Her dad passed (very lengthy illness)Friday afternoon and I thought it would help cheer her up just a bit.

It was a gold cross that she may want to have her dad's passing date inscribed. That'll be up to her.

At least I'll be able to wait til tomorrow to give her her birthday present.

my own parents are having various health problems and it seems so unfair for folks to have to experience these challenges at the end of their lives.

14. A nice bouquet of flowers

A solid chocolate heart and a little stuffed gorilla holding a heart.
She's actually home sick in bed. I also got her some sprite, some cream cheese, chips and dip(comfort food for the sick)
I hope she likes it.

edited to add - yes I trimmed the stems, on the angle, and put the flowers in water with the little food packet mixed in!
