Our family will be spending the holidays in Italy. Can't wait. It'll be strange not being home for Christmas, but it will certainly be an adventure.

3. Venice, Florence & Rome
And we'll probably spend a night in Assisi and San Geminiano.

Unfortunately, the weather doesn't look like it's going to be too nice. But what the heck, it's ten degrees here in Michigan.

...close to Florence, and it seems like it may actually snow this weekend (though it probably won't last long). So bring warm clothes! :)

10. The long range forecast doesn't look great
I checked Yahoo weather and it looks like a wet couple weeks.

13. Wet is pretty much par for the course...
...this time of year. But when snow is added into the mix pretty much everything brakes down, especially here in Tuscany where it rarely happens.

:eyes: :P your trip sounds WONDERFUL - where are you headed? (not that I know Italy at all but have a friend living up north and I loved what I saw of the Mediterranean on a trip to Turkey years ago)

We only have 10 days, so we're concentrating on Venice, Florence, and Rome.

14. you do know that there's political riots going on over there?
Be careful. You might check the state department web site for any warnings.
