1. When my current kitty was just a kitten she couldn't jump up into my lap
so she would just climb my legs. My shins looked like I had been running bare legged through a bramble patch. I was very happy when she got big enough to reach my lap without wounding me, but even today, when she lands she generally has her claws extended and she still draws blood on occasion.

2. My old Mac has taken to kneading my thighs.
I look like I have really bad razor burn, or a rash. Hurts like hell when he does it. I try to put a thick blanket on my lap now when I sit down. He never used to do this but lately it's his favorite pastime. He's very old and very sweet so I let him. He never learned to play with his claws in, when he was a kitten our hands were always bloody.

6. Lol, we have a 7 toed cat that does this
We call it 'making biscuits'. My little girl scared him into the hot tub last summer, was not pretty but no one died.

4. My kitty Bailey liked to sit on the side of the tub
Edited on Mon Dec-13-10 07:34 PM by mentalsolstice
...while I was bathing. One day she was kind of sitting behind the shower curtain with her tail waving around. Her brother, Clarence, attracted by the unknown movement, pounced at the curtain, thus pushing her into the bath with me. As a result I have long scars across my abdomen.

10. Me too. My one cat monster scratches me almost every night but I can't
stop myself from petting him at night. He's just so cute.

11. Right after we got our first dog, I had a health screening for a new job at a newspaper. It
included a hand and arm "inspection" to make sure I didn't have any conditions that would make me vulnerable to carpal tunnel. The company nurse held my hands, manipulated them a bit, examined my arms, and so on.

My hands and arms had a bunch of bruises on them, as our dog, who had been a stray, was learning about what kind of mouthing was acceptable and what wasn't. The nurse, after looking at my arms, then screened me for domestic violence; my arms looked like someone grabbed them forcefully and regularly. Ack! I was glad they screened for it, but it certainly didn't apply to me.

12. Embarrassing, isn't it?
The scene of the crime:

The prime suspect:

What can I say? She was a hard case at the shelter and she plays rough, but I love her nonetheless. Tea tree oil is an awesome antibiotic, I recommend it. Never had an infection yet (knock wood).
