Bob Mould Appreciation Thread.
Whether it was with Hüsker Dü, Sugar, or his solo work, post some of your favorite songs of his (a YouTube link is always helpful)...or if you were lucky enough to see him live (unlike me), please share your concert experience.

Here's one to get started: Bob's "It's Too Late"

2. Bob doing "Too Far Down" (a Hüsker tune)
one of the most depressingly beautiful songs ever written

6. Hmmm....apparently Bob isn't much appreciated 'round here.
Sad.

7. I just found this thread.
I can't say I'm a huge fan of his, but I do remember that when Alternative was huge on FM radio in the mid 90s, they played several of Mr. Mould's songs as a solo act, and I liked them.

Thanks for posting these videos. I've forgotten how many good acts were still making music back then -- many more than there are today although good music still isn't completely dead. It's just getting harder to find.

9. "Sinners and Their Repentances"
This is an amazing performance of an excellent song:

And hardly anyone will ever see it, which is a damn shame.

10. Husker Du, Love is All Around
My favorite Mould thing isn't on Youtube, his collaboration with Richard Thompson on the Golden Palominos song "Dying From the Inside Out"

I saw Husker Du at a Raleigh club in the summer of 1985. My ears rang for a week.

11. Husker Du: Greatest Band Ever
Seriously. When they broke up, I wept. No exaggeration.

I was lucky enough to see them on the Warehouse tour. I had to get a fake ID that said I was 18 because I was only 16 at the time and the place they were playing was 18 and up.

I could never fully connect with any of his post Husker stuff, although I did like bits and pieces (most notably the song you posted).

Zen Arcade literally saved my life.
