Mass. pizza parlor stiffed by man with Dylan pass
AMHERST, Mass. (AP) - A man wearing a Bob Dylan backstage pass around his neck who ordered 178 pizzas from a landmark Amherst pizza parlor has left the restaurant Blowin' in the Wind.

The man walked into Antonio's early Saturday morning shortly after Dylan performed at the University of Massachusetts and ordered $3,900 worth of pies.

He promised a big tip and said he would return in several hours and deliver them to Dylan's crew. He never returned and the manager called police.

1. I think for a $3900 pizza order I'd have asked for payment up front

2. I think the restaurant handled it wrong.
They should've asked for the money up front, and they should've told him he should've called in hours (days?) ago to make the order.

Either the restaurant employees are idiots, or they're gullible. Maybe both.

3. It's not that they deserved it...
just by being idiots but I can't imagine not asking for a credit card (with ID) up front!

4. Well I agree, they didn't deserve it.
But they should have policies to deal with situations like that.

If it were me working there, I would've been skeptical right away.
