31. I used to go see him in Birmingham Mich back in the early 70's.
i remember him returning from the west coast, where he was being groomed by Zappa. He came on stage and it was electric. Gone was the cheapness, and there was something new about him. He broke into the song, "I'm Eighteen", and I knew he was on his way to stardom.

the original artwork for "Alice Cooper Pretties for you" hung in Zappa's living room.
