Tripe. It seems to have gained some popularity here lately.
Like - What you said is nothing but tripe.

Like - What a load of tripe.

No quotes or calling out but it seems a little trite to keep using catch phrases.

Also as a former non-vegetarian I used to like tripe soup and other dishes. Now of course I don't eat any meat or other animal parts like tripe...but to be fair I used to like its use in dishes.

Why all the hatred toward tripe?

I just don't have the stomach for this anymore...

4. Kinda neat looking, but I don't think I'll go out of my to try it
I'll eat the parts that I like, and if someone else devours all the weird leftover bits, I guess that helps keep the prices down for all of us...

6. That's bleached tripe...
...which I don't have any personal experience with. My dogs love fresh raw green tripe, so I order it every few weeks or so. It's wonderful for them, but it sure has a diSTINCtive odor!

it tries to digest you back.

As American as hot dogs, BTW.

14. Raw green tripe makes wonderful dog food. They can't decide whether to eat it first or roll
in it then eat it.

19. Anyone ever been to one of these places in Europe (Italy, to be exact)?:

I've never been- but I'd totally give it a try "when in Rome". For some reason, I wouldn't try to find any locally.

20. I've had it in pho. I also had a tripe dish in Itally that was darn tasty.
Pho is pretty much my favorite soup in the whole world so there you go.
