The neighbors' house is on the market --- THE BAR IS OPEN!
Wooooooooooooo-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

(Do I sound a little excited? I am!)

The neighbors we have endured for the past four and a half years have listed their home, and hopefully, will sell their house at the speed of light. We're thrilled! As a result, even though it's still fairly early in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, THE BAR IS OPEN!

What's your pleasure? I'll be your friendly bartender!

Julie

Isn't it the truth? Celebrate with me , and we'll hope that your evil neighbors are putting up the "for sale" sign sooner than later!

10. Loud. Really, really loud.
If anyone's interested in reading the Saga of Our Neighbors, it's all here.

Did I mention that they're also obnoxious Republicans?

I'm happy to give you a few stories. In the meantime, you might need a drink for these, so what's your pleasure?

19. Okay, Jack,
here's a vodka tonic with a twist, and here's a couple of stories about the neighbors. Let's call them P&J.

We bought brand-new, as P&J did. We waited almost six months for our house to be done. As you can imagine, excited is not even a description. P. decided that he wanted to take out a portion of his backyard, so he drove across our BRAND NEW LAWN with a Bobcat. We hadn't even closed on the house yet! Our neighbor on the other side, E. (typically a quiet, retiring Christian woman,) came flying out of her house and shouted at him, "What in the hell are you doing to their new lawn? Fix it. NOW!"

The builder ended up fixing the lawn. P. never admitted (or apologized, as he was instructed to do by both the other neighbor and the builder,) for his actions.

When P&J moved in, they didn't unpack their own stuff. Oh, no. They called all their "friends" over for the moving and unpacking. They lived here four and a half years. We never saw them have anyone over besides family members. Ever. (Wouldn't most people want to wine and dine those that gave them so much help at the beautiful new home? Not these guys.)

P&J have a Boxer. Since P&J take NO responsibility for any of their actions, (guess what political party they are?)they allowed their dog to defecate on any available surface, which meant others' lawns. They never cleaned up after the dog, either. One of the other neighbors, M., caught the wife, J, (and the dog,) redhanded one fine weekend morning, and let her HAVE IT. We're talking shouting and the works. (M's yard looks like a golf course; he works really hard to make it nice, and had evidently cleaned up after the Boxer a few too many times previously.) J. hit several houses on her way home looking for allies -- tears dripping, sobbing about the fact that her "husband was out of town, and he won't be happy about this." Of course, another male neighbor (who just happens to be a cop,) decided that he was going to "talk some sense" into M. and force him to apologize for making J. cry.

It's been two years since this incident. M. told the cop to get off his property, and to never come back. P&J are still allowing the dog to shit anywhere he likes. One of the other neighbors, D., saved a boxful of their dog's offerings and dumped it on P&J's front porch about two weeks ago. I think this was the final straw. I owe her some flowers ;-).

I know that other people here must have stories about their neighbors, so let's hear 'em!

No, we're in Washington.

I could tell stories on the two of them for several hours, but I'd rather party!

28. Excellent! Just the kind of passive aggressive stuff I was talking about
Put the poop back onto their porch. You all should have been doing that the whole time...

I'm glad the idiots are finally leaving your neighborhood!

Though I suppose this means someone else is gonna get them as neighbors...

31. I'd have flung the poo at their house everytime i found it in my lawn.
Edited on Wed Mar-31-04 02:57 PM by TXlib
Make sure it sticks to the walls, smear it in the woodwork and brick.

And, in the middle of the night, I'd have shit in their lawn myself.

on one side. She's old and VERY nosy. I expect she'll die before she'll move away. I'll celebrate your freedom from your neighbors, and I hope you get cool new people moving in. I'll take a vodka martini!

Dumb barking dogs, yard parties at least twice a week.

13. The single best thing about our neighborhood
is that our neighbors are all pretty much okay. That will keep me in this house longer than I'd probably stay otherwise - I hate living in Auburn rather than in Seattle - but the neighborhood is really nice and it is such a relief not to have to live surrounded by dickheads.

I'm glad the scumbags are moving on, JulieRB. Learn your lesson and never tell asshole neighbors where you're moving ever again!

(Give the kitties a hug for me. Cappy says MEOW to them. Well, he'd say ALL TUNA BELONG ME, but his vocal cords can't quite some of the consonants.)

25. I'm so glad that your neighbors are nice
I'll bet they're glad to have great neighbors like you, JohnnyAwl and the kitties!

>(Give the kitties a hug for me. Cappy says MEOW to them. Well, he'd say ALL TUNA BELONG ME, but his vocal cords can't quite some of the consonants.)<

I'll definitely give the kitties a hug for you, and we're sending hugs, kisses and headbutts to your felines, too!

Mojo said to tell Cappy that he's a Big Game Hunter and an Insect Assassin. The local robins know what kind of badass he is. (He's never been outside, so he has to intimidate through double-paned glass...) Mojo and Oscar also have their own website, www.mainecoonsfordean.com. I -- ooops, they, ;-) need to do a bit of updating over there!

I hope that it's a great day at your house!

14. What's Their Asking Price?
Maybe you can "help" them sell their house... and pick a more progressive neighbor in the process.

Maybe a fellow DUer is in the housing market.

17. Asking price: $360,000
>Maybe you can "help" them sell their house... and pick a more progressive neighbor in the process.<

We're expecting that whomever buys the house will not have children. We don't. The scary neighbors don't, either. Their house is not child-or family friendly by any stretch of the imagination, so it will be some young couple's "dream house". To make it family friendly will require lots of work.

We're also expecting the new buyer to work at Microsoft, or be in a relationship with someone who does. In a 40-home development, 25 homeowners are employees of the Evil Empire, and in most, their significant others are as well...

16. Now, if my piece-of-shit upstairs neighbors would only get evicted....
Not too long ago, the guy in the apartment next door complained to the property manager about those animals having just had their most recent living-room-window-to-parking-lot screaming match. The property manager replied that he was trying to get those maggots outta the building. God, I hope that happens soon!
