what do you give your sick friends?

if i know someone who is sick but it isnt a life threatening thing just maybe after a procedure or a virus that will keep them down for a gew days i always give them a new bag of army men from the dollar store.
lots of fun when you have a lot of free time

1. Long ago, I had an ex-GF who landed in the hospital for a while and was VERY depressed...

...so I drove 30 miles to this very, VERY nice restaurant that we
had gone to eat dinner at and I talked them into selling me a coupla
takeout pieces (they simply did not DO takeout) of their grasshopper
pie that she had just RAVED on and on and on about at the time.

We ate them by candlelight (I sweet-talked the nurses into letting us
be for a while).

It lifted her spirits considerably.

I do believe she would have LOVED the bag of army men.
