Just added my 12,000th song to iTunes...42 days, 4 hours, 59 minutes, 101 GB of music.
I added the "Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968" box set (http://www.amazon.com/Nuggets-Original-Artyfacts-Psychedelic-1965-1968/dp/B00000AFWZ/), and the last song on it, which would be the actual 12,000th song added, is "Blues Theme" (from the motion picture "The Wild Angels") by Davie Allan & The Arrows.

My iPod's 28 GB, with around 25 GB of tunes.

1. Wow, you just love all music, don't you?
That's great. I'm from a different generation than you, I'm sure, & I have mostly oldies from the late '60s & '70s downloaded on my iPod.

However, I do appreciate some of the newer music, too. These are some of the songs that have come out in recent years that I've also downloaded:

Santeria - Sublime
Cowboy - Kid Rock
Walkin’ On the Sun - Smash Mouth
I Try - Macy Gray
Don’t Know Why - Norah Jones
I’m a Bitch - Meredith Brooks
You’re Beautiful - James Blunt
You Had a Bad Day - Daniel Powter
You Get What You Give - New Radicals

And I bought these CDs, also:

John Mayer’s Continuum CD
Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black CD

6. No, ripped from a decades-old CD collection
A very small portion of the tracks are purchased MP3s. CDs and DVDs are my two major vices.

5. I was security last weekend at the Bisbee Blues Festival
I had never heard Tab Benoit before. He was the headliner and knocked me out. I got to meet him after the show. A nice guy and one of the best blues players I've heard. If you don't have him on your list, you must add him. By the way, It's A Beautiful Day was in Tucson this weekend, one of the first bands I heard at the Fillmore in '68.
