(It's a handmade Yairi, so I have to take care of it even if I can't play anymore.)

I can use on my fingeritps? OUCH! No calluses!


But I'm going to do another 15 minutes tomorrow, and the day after, then half an hour.

Dammit, I can still sing, I mean REALLY sing - not being immodest at all here; I never thought I was a good singer until other people told me I was, and PAID for the privilege of hearing me do so (you'd be amazed) even through the years of abuse and tobacco.

I kid you not: there has been many a time when I've been out with Mrs R and sang a piece of a song as part of a conversation, and EVERY TIME someone within earshot would ask me if I sang professionally (which, of course, I did for years).

Anyone got any idea how good it felt to be asked that question? Better than cocaine, I can tell you that.

New goal for me: Get back to being a musician, within the limits of the arthritis and nerve damage, of course.
