I don't drink, and hate bars.

1. Go to your nearest river...
but before you go, either borrow or rent a boat. Get on the boat and let the river take you wherever it wants to take you. When you get through enjoying that, get out, walk back to your vehicle, drive back, reload the boat, take it back to wherever you got it, and go home rested and peaceful feeling.

Price: Whatever it costs you in gas and boat rental/borrowing prices. Maybe more if you decide to take some snacks or a camera.

3. Side note on a different topic.

That comment has been said to me.

I don't drink, and hate bars.
Then don't go to a bar.
But I think you are mature enough to not tell other people if they should or not. That is nanny state.
So just like I respect your choice to not go to bars, I will invoke my choice to go to a bar, listen to music, and play pool.
There is a real thought on freedom in that concept. Thanks for posting as you did, to allow for thoughts on that topic.

To the poster,

you might be able to find a club with some interest you like, book stores are fun, and if you are trying to find a romantic interest, maybe find a hobby you like that has broad gender appeal. Hiking, fan clubs, many things where you can meet people with same interest.

I actually find conventions a fun place to go, lots of interesting people at them, just find something that interest you and do it, and you will be around people.

Assuming you have money for travel and your drink of choice, then good luck with your endeavors.
