2. I can second that suggestion.

A few years after we bought our house, my wife and I both felt a little off like we were coming down with something. This lasted a few weeks so I decided to buy a CO detector.

It started sounding the alarm a few minutes after I plugged it in. Just to be safe I called the gas company to come and check for leaks. The guy that showed up managed to find 8 leaks in our basement.

That CO detector was just about the best thing that I ever bought.
