1. About 3 weeks ago
I was holed up in a motel out in L.A. for 3 days. They had a bar there with a pool table. So, instead of sitting around in my room in my underwear drinking a six pack and watching ESPN I decided to get out and socialize. I shot several games while slurping on Jack and Cokes. I was a bit rusty, but I didn't do too bad.

3. Regulation size
I lost more than I won, but the guy I was shooting against was really good and I was doing good to take a couple of games from him.

I can kick pretty much anyone's ass at pool.

On Edit:

Okay, to be fair, I have a secret. I play "drunken monk". I fake screwing up my shots when what I'm REALLY doing is parking my balls at all six pockets both to block the opponent and to make a one turn cleanup easy. Then I play around with the 8 ball for a while just to be an asshole before pulling off a double-bank "impossible" shot to win. Damn could I make some money if I gambled, but I don't. I've never bought a lottery ticket (the lottery is a tax on the mathematically challenged).

9. I don't gamble. I just like putting one set of quarters on a table and not paying for a game again.

10. I don't gamble. I WILL however buy someone a beer if they shoot a good game.
That's after I kick their ass, of course.

And I mean ALWAYS.

Oh so confident in their ability or some "secret" they think they have.

I'm sure you are a good shot, But so am I and I've played pool since I was about 8 and I am 51 now. I've played in bars on quarter tables, in pool halls, bowling alleys and private homes in Canada, Australia, England and all over the USA.

Your "Drunken Monk" wouldn't work with me. You had better run the table while you have the chance.

Of course, we're all just a bunch of big ol' swingin' dicks on the internet, eh?

Edited to add this:

In all the years that I've played in the US, I have met about 5 people that knew how to rack an 8-Ball rack properly. Most Americans don't have a clue how to properly rack an 8-Ball rack and even more don't know the standard rules of the game.

Also, there are regional rules that happen all over the country, such as "money breaks" in some areas of New England which means at a bar/quarter table, the player who pays for the game (puts the quarters in) gets to break. Only place in the country I've come across such a thing. It's usually the winner breaks.

8. Probably in BNCOC, fifteen years ago.
That's an Army E-6 school, and mine was ten weeks long. Death PT every morning, class all day, but in the evenings little to do but shoot pool.

15. I have an 80 year old Brunswick "Harrison" in my gameroom.
4.5' x 9'. It's a monster of a pool table. I use it 4-5 times a week. Hard to find anyone worth playing actually.

16. Can't remember
The funny part is that my office is in the same building as a billiard hall. My best friend owns the place, so I am in and out of there all the time, but neither of us are any good at pool.
