3. I feel like I have less depth perception when I use those. Must just be my eyes.

5. downside: when they die, they die instantly.
Last year I bought 2 Mag-Lights.
Read a lot about LED versus bulb.
Only downside is LED goes black when batteries go,instead of dimming to let ya know.

My light is LED.Adjustable focus field, I rarely use anything but the regular narrow beam.

Mr. d said he wanted the bulb kind.
He is now jealous.

I use mine when I walk dog at night in our neighborhood, we have limited lights on the streets.
Rarely, a car will be on our street, and it stops instantly when I click on the light..
Light beam visible for a whole long block.

they are great, I recommend having a couple.

9. True. I've got a hand-pump gyro-generated flashlight for the car. Always works.

6. My bike light is LED.
It's nice not having to scrounge every bike shop and online outlet for bulbs every year. Plus, it's brighter so I can ride faster and pedal harder. In the Winter that means I stay warm.

I took an LED flashlight with me to Turkey last year. At a guest house near a huge gorge I went to the edge one night. The light easily reached the other side of the gorge.

7. For fun, I got a three-in-one one:
Normal LED flashlight, UV-light and a laserpointer. Fun device. I can find my way home, find all the dirty spots and blind the one who made all the dirty spots! :woohoo:
