The UPS guy brought it this morning an I love it. I thought I needed new glasses but it turns out that the old monitor was just old and blury. I'm so happy.

1. You're hobby is electronics, and you are running a crt??? What?
Now, what did ups bring. It isn't clear. Another crt? What?
And, very important, and I guess it says Florida there, but it's important, did you send the old one out for recycling?
Here it is agin the law to put them into the trash can.

2. Ah .... yes post very unclear. UPS dude brought a way cool NEC LCD monitor from Newegg. Old
monitor is staring at me sadly from the corner of the room. It must be recycled in Florida too. Thanks for asking!

3. Wow they have quite a price variance there. Some good prices
like 189 or 229, but the others are a bit much.
We recently got a good brand, I forget the name for the office for $139, but I think they threw it in free with the computer box.
It works great, even on video, etc.
Enjoy.

6. If it works, sell it on Craig's List
I recently bought a couple of old CRTs for $15 (for the pair) for a couple of computers I put together for some young friends. Eventually they will upgrade, but for now, those CRTs and the old computers are just fine.

4. I had a devil of a time getting rid of my old CRTs. After about a dozen contacts,
I found somebody that would take the smaller one

Finally gave up on trying to donate the larger one and carted it off to my city's "electronic waste recycling center" where I paid a few dollar fee and was direcxted from here to there to elsewhere, where an employee happily lifted it from my car and heaved it into a bin full of tree branches

Yeah, "recycling" :eyes:

5. LOL! Tree branches!
 I know it's wrong, but that's really funny. Last time I took computer parts to the 'recycling center' there was no one in sight, just a wasteland of broken devices in the near-desert. It was beautifully post-apocalyptic...
