Man-cub single handedly repelled a raccoon invasion.
4 Raccoons just tried to enter through the kitty opening on one of the front door side panels (hinged windows the same height of the doors). One large and three slightly smaller raccoons lined up and trying to enter when Man-cub started yelling and stomping just inside the door. The local raccoons are so bold they seemed to consider rushing him!!!

We have been wondering why the cats are so hungry in the mornings because we re-fill the bowls before turning in at night.

Now we know.

1. My dear denbot!
Wow, good for him!

Yup, raccoons will eat cat food, and happily too!

I hope the man-cub is behaving more appropriately these days...

:hi:

5. Hi Miss CP
Right now he is, but he pulled a bunch of crap over the weekend and I kind of snapped. Now things are calmed down a bit and he is has toned it down..

My wife had a pretty good insight for me. She said that he presents a problem that I can't control, resolve or "fix". I have to learn to focus on the process, and not a result.

3. Man-cub is a cat, I take it?
So, do you lock the kitty opening now?? Wow, that's scary. Raccoons can be skeery varmints. I used to feed them around here when they were cute and little, when they turned into hoodlums they scared me and I stopped doing so - and boy, they let me know how they felt about that!!

Hope the man-cub is okay, good for him for standing up to the thieves!

4. LOL, Man-cub is our 16 y.o. son.
The local raccoons usually don't come out until late at night around here.
