1. My sisters live in Dallas
I used to live there 11 years ago before I moved to Pennsylvania. 100+º heat is not only normal for a Texas summer, but also the main reason I left Texas for good--neither my late mom nor I could take the extreme heat--and humidity--anymore.

My car thermometer read 95 degrees.

Nice to come home to a cold front!

6. One of a million reasons why I'll never live there.
I think Mass gets too damn hot. I'd last a week down there, done in by weather or some Republican asshat who hates liberal Yanks! :)

8. We had a similar "cold front" move through last week which brought
our temps from the 102-105 range down to a much cooler 98. It was pretty hard to get excited by that.

12. my weather station turns bright red at 90 degrees
ridiculous for Texas - I have a bright red glowing screen at least half the year - for Texas it should go red starting at 96 :D

10. OMG!
I would have considered that a cold front but I just looked at our weather forecast and it's actually going to dip down into the 80's! All those triple digit days were wearing me out. :woohoo:

13. If you lived here, it would seem like a cold front!!!
Compared to the days we have been having with triple digit temperatures and heat indexes even higher, 95 sounds wonderfully pleasant!!!!

17. The high is supposed to be in the lower 90's for a solid week
It's even supposed to be in the 60's early Thursday morning. When triple digits have been the norm, that's definitely a cold front to look forward to.

22. In Texas we have two seasons:
Summer and February.

We wear shorts at Christmas, usually. Working outside can be brutal in October.

We get our first actually cool front sometime in November.

Had three good snows in Jan and Feb. this year.

The heat index has gone up the past couple of weeks, like to 110 or so.

Still waiting for that cooling off at night. That will be a couple months away.
