Howdy from the my Aunt's farm near Austin, I really needed some time in the country.
I am staying until Monday morning and just taking care of the farm.

Tomorrow I am going fishing, don't care if I catch a thing.

Now I am sitting on the front porch on the porch swing, not to hot with the breeze.

I just love the sound of the chickens and the cows, farm sounds in general.

I just want to thank everyone for your kind thoughts about my Mother's passing.

I feel at peace and I hope she is at peace also.

I feel sad for my sister and brothers, they didn't show up on Sunday.

I planted a pecan tree with some of my Mother's ashes, near a creek.

My Mother played along the creek, it was shady and cool in the summer.

The rest of the ashes I spread to the wind in the meadow where she also played.

My Aunt and I are having a great visit, so love this old farm.

6. Thanks for checking back in. I love hearing from you. Your style of writing is somewhat like my own.
Almost like a journal. Brief and full of color.

And I'm a double-spacer too.

I really enjoy your posts.

And I think the way you are handling this is wonderful.

I believe you will have a clear mind about this event for the rest of your life.

All the best, texanwitch.

8. Ah, farm sounds are so comforting, aren't they?
In spite of everything else that happens, life on the farm goes on and on.

Your mom is at peace, and it sounds as though you are finding yours. You've honored her greatly, with the planting of a symbol that will live in her spirit for a long time. What a beautiful gesture.

Peace to you, and your aunt, and your family. Enjoy the farm, as your mom did. Hugs.
