A couple pictures ... and some more
Edited on Tue Aug-17-10 02:41 AM by MissHoneychurch
As you know my mom and her partner were in Paris last week. They came back Sunday. They loved Paris (OK, who doesn't?). My mom thanked my brother and me again for the wonderful gift.

Even with the chance to bore you, another pic from my condo

At the river Rhein and Lake Constance

A real Zeppelin

You can see The Alps in the background

1. Your pictures reminded me of a River Rhine train trip...
.
.
.
.
.
...we took decades ago (trip spanning from Nurnberg to Koln (Nuremberg to
Cologne for my fellow Americans). Absolutely stunning scenery, villages,
castles -- a beautiful trip... on the way up, anyways.
.
.
We had decided not to drink anything all day until our return trip... and
we rewarded our commendable abstinence with commendable overindulgence.
.
.
Luckily, one of my buddies was BIG and he could drag me kicking and screaming
from the train when I didn't realize we had made it home to Nurnberg (I think
the train MAY have gone straight through to Austria from that point).
.
.
.
Thank you for bringing back some wonderful memories.

9. Holy Moly.
That first sailboat pic looks like it could be the model for an Impressionist painting.

Very nice.

13. Been there once for a week, good and bad.
Decided my last full day to visit the Louvre. When I got there a bunch of people were outside milling around. Saw a sign on the door "En Greve" (On Strike) and it was closed. Was I pissed!

The Eiffel Tower and Musee D'orsay made up for that. And since it was the first week of Nov 1992, I had the pleasure of reading in the papers that Bill Clinton was elected President.

14. Those pictures are fantastic! Someone has a real good eye there.
And the subjects are wonderful.

That looks like a perfect vacation.

Great work!
