9. Latin names sound important to the intellectually and morally impotent.
This is why, if they travel internationally at all, it is usually to Latin America.

Publius was a man of the people. Literally, the "Publicola" (Friend of the people.)

Really though, if they'd ever read the damned things they'd realize they're on the wrong side and the founding fathers directly refute their ideology whole-cloth. Fed10 with its' strict opposition to majoritarian rule could not be clearer on the illegitimacy of rule-by-referrenda (think about that and then consider Prop 8. Prop 8 is why Fed10 says what it says.) Fed78 doesn't merely vouch to the legitimacy of judicial review and an engaged activist court to defend the well-being of the citizenry, it requires it. Fed51 summarizes to a rejection in full of any unitary executive (or unitary branch of government at-all for that matter).

I think they should be required reading in HS civics. I think HS should be required to teach civics and US history before the RW and fundies can fill kids' heads with vile-pudding.

Diverse as their own ideology was, Madison, Jay and Hamilton would be full-on ballistic over that of the GOP.
