1. My dear Kali!
I would just copy and paste it into something handy...

I've done that and put the thread into an email, and then stored that in my drafts folder.

Or you could put it into a word program, I suppose...

Good thinking, girl!

:yourock:

5. the pictures aren't showing up when I put it in an email draft
and I think it's going to crash something in a document but I will see - taking forever to do anything

that is why I wondered if there was another way...

I haven't ever figured out how to do a screen capture bigger than duh,, one screen and that thread would take all night to copy into individual jpg's

have stuffed things in draft emails like Peggy suggested but this was HUGH!!1!

4. in your browser
Hit File > Save page as

and in the Save window that opens, select "Web page, complete" in the "Save as type" field at the the bottom

That's how it is in Firefox, will be something very similar in other browsers.

10. OK that whole thing was a strange experience...
Edited on Sat Aug-07-10 04:30 PM by Kali
from the thread itself, to the worm-hole unnumbered replies that are still in "my DU," to trying to load the tab I had open last night.

I somehow got the whole thing onto my desktop, even though my downloader said it failed! While my e-mail jammed and was frozen I couldn't see my desktop so I started another download of it into "my documents" - that one got almost all the way loaded before it froze up and wouldn't go any further - at about 83%. So I tried to pause it and restart - then it said failed too.

When I open the one on my desktop - the first one, it comes up fine even though it says the file is only half the size of the original. When I try to open the one in "my docs" it doesn't show any of the icons or pictures and all the text looks the same. This is also how the thread seemed to be copy/pastinging into an email as well.

Now the weird thing is, when I try to email the first good one or even copy it to another location - it comes out the crappy way - simple format with no icons or pictures!

While the thread was funny, I am curious if it's weirdness is why I can't seem to copy the file or if there is some other explanation. New stuff to me.

But I DID get it saved!!!:woohoo:
