Drew Carey 80 pounds lighter- since January (PIC)

So how'd he do it?

"No carbs," Carey says. "I have cheated a couple times, but basically no carbs, not even a cracker. No bread at all. No pizza, nothing. No corn, no beans, no starches of any kind. Egg whites in the morning or like, Greek yogurt, cut some fruit."

He snacks on fruit, and for dinner he'll have grilled chicken and steamed vegetables and water. "I don't drink anything but water," he says. "No coffee, no tea, no soda." Hitting the gym equally important, he says, is keeping up his workouts. His secret: "Lots of cardio. About 45 minutes of cardio, at least 45 minutes of cardio. I've been kind of lazy like lately, so I'm not doing it 6 days a week, but I will be for this next month."

All this discipline has gotten Carey from a size 44 pants to a 33-34, with his goal to lose another 10 pounds and shrink to a size 32.

1. why does he look older?
i'd lose weight alos, but my face would shrink like a prune. Its a family curse. I can live with a chunky butt if it means I have a smooth pretty face.

10. Meh.
Motherfucker's a shitty game show host. Why Barker let him host is beyond me.

At least Wayne Brady's doing a decent job with Let's Make a Deal, He's no Monty Hall, but he's holding his own.

12. Shh....don't tell.
:silly:
I wish him luck keeping off that weight. Eighty pounds in seven months is pretty fast without a staple in your stomach.

16. I've knocked off 65 pounds since the start of the year.
After I got the warning from a diabetic foot ulcer, I decided to get real serious. So far I've knocked off 65 pounds by following an Atkins diet and walking 45 minutes a day. I've gotten my waist down from 46 to 38 and my weight has gone from 296 to 231. I've also been able to get off of insulin and go back on metformin.

It's not easy, especially when you go to sleep and dream of onion rings, Big Macs and pastrami skyhighs!

17. No carbs except fruit?
Wow, his diet sounds awful. It sounds like the Dr. Stillman's Quick Weight-loss Diet of the late 60s and early 70s that my sister went on. One evening when she and her husband went to a dance, she decided to cheat and have a vodka collins. One sip and she passed out. She woke up in the hospital. Although she didn't have diabetes, her doctor said that she'd had what amounted to an insulin reaction.

Carbs are not the enemy. Good carbs aren't, anyway.

19. Wow!
He really looks good. I had a lot of success with low carb too. Not for everybody, though. I have a friend who can't think straight when he's in ketosis.
