And here's why I love my iPhone. (Edit: dial-up warning.)

(Disclaimer: It's the first generation.) So the camera is pretty crappy. So was the camera obscura.

It's the apps for the camera. Old retro cameras, old retro films and photo filters without the hassle of firing up Photoshop. A plastic toy camera with one click. A Dymo labelmaker app. All good things to keep the inner artist alive through modern technology. ;)

Clouds over here today:

Heidi's retro laptop (detail):

Sky and crane:

And a fond farewell to a recent deceased bard who never could sing, anyway:

1. Except that the "scratches" are exactly the same in all of them!
:P

You'd think whoever wrote that would have figured out a way to modify the "scratches" and "lint" in a way that it didn't repeat so blatantly...

2. I agree; noticed it, too.
So it's back to Photoshop brushes, then ... :(

But, you know, at one point, you get to know the scratches, and you really like the way they are and they won't turn on you because they're like the solid rocks in a tsunami you can hold on because they are what they are and won't change and yell at you "I have changed, I don't need you anymore" and you spend a whole week crying wishing your familiar scratches back, the ones that always looked the same.

Or something like this.

6. I'm not going to shave Ginger.
Perhaps I need a Furry always standing in front of me?

7. There ya go!
You can use their fuzzy heads or the tips of their tails. Although chin hairs might be just sparse enough for good scratch-effects :)
