What do you label someone who likes to take notes?
Is there a "clinical" term for this habit?

:-)

27. Thank you!
I don't know how old you are but I say just wait til all these young wippersnappers start aging. They are in for some really big and disappointing truths to come crashing down on their heads.

5. My dear blueamy66!
NO, it is not a bad thing!

I make lists, and take notes.......so I don't forget stuff!

It really really helps me.

I have these little note pads all over, by the phone, on my desk, in my purse, at the bedside, in the car...

These are extremely useful!

:hi:

Pay no attention to the folks who criticize your note-taking -- some people
just employ the "NOT ME... OVER THERE insecure method of SELF-defense.

12. For me, I call it "necessary", because my job requires a lot of
multi-tasking, and if I didn't write down notes, I'd probably forget half of what I needed to do!

28. True that! I'm a compulsive note-taker on my customer service job--
because I hate the idea of asking a caller for information they probably already gave me, only I wasn't listening carefully enough! I find that if you ask someone about something they've already said, it *is* quite annoying--people feel they aren't being paid proper attention. It comes in super-handy, too, for "remembering" things later in the conversation and getting a "big picture" of what they are talking about. A scratch pad is really my supplemental memory. I don't start work without at least lots of scrap-paper.

(Also, you should see my Post-it Notes! you'd think I had no memory, but no--I just realize that little "reminders" are necessary when I have to incorporate new information into my usual spiel.)
