Ouch! I just got bitten by a spider. And then it had the nerve to run around on my arm and leg to
freak me out some more.

Gol-durned scary spider!! (Good thing is was barely the size of a nickel, if that, or I would really have freaked out.)

3. I don't think so. We only have brown recluses in this area, and I have never seen one in person.

7. Well, I hope it didn't look like this, then:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_recluse_spider

We have them in this area, too, and my past-wife (ex, not dead) got bitten by one here in Houston. It gave her nerve damage in her arm, possibly exacerbating some other health issues she has now.

Look over the symptoms and see if you need to call a doctor/emergency care.

9. Nope, looked like either a wolf spider or a little grass one. Hard to say, it was so fast.

5. If it makes you feel better, the spider was more afraid than you were. nt

15. I hate spiders. Little furry eight-eyed eight-legged spawn of satan...
Same with Hornets and Wasps - if they went extinct, I might not give a rats ass

Honeybees, I like, but those other biomechanical robots from hell can go off and die
