Ever heard of any pets being buried in a people cemetery?

Seems like something a lot of people would want.

1. Pets in some places and times have been killed to be buried with their owners.
Some kind of love, huh?

I assume you are talking about a pre-planning arrangement...like when couples reserve two plots together, knowing one will precede the other.

Now if you are talking buried *together,* that would involve either murder or exhumation, since pets and their people don't usually die at the same time.

3. I think that in some places

there are zoning laws against it. Just what I believe that I've heard.

ETA: I've told my family that when I go I want the cremains from my pre-deceased pets put in my coffin or urn with me. Not something I'm obssessed over, just my preference.

5. Yes, but they need to be cremated first and can be interred with human ashes.
We looked into this place called an eco-eternity forest about half an hour drive from Chapel Hill.
There are two similar places in Pennsylvania and Virginia, and the organization is hoping to create similar arrangements across the country.

7. Here in W PA, there is a cemetary that has a section for pets and owners
can be buried there too. It is not allowed to be in the "regular" human cemetary, but this is a new thing and it is doing very well. I have considered having pet ashes mixed in with my own ashes and buried, and no one would know. Seems that too many people are creeped out by the idea of having animals buried beside them. Duh.

8. Here is the link for that pet/people cemetary. I'm sure this will come to your area.
