How do you keep from thinking about something you don't want to think about?

In this case, a PITA co-worker. Luckily I don't see him every day. But sometimes I find myself thinking about this man at home, and things that bug me about him...

You know how it is, when you keep telling yourself, "Don't think about him/her/it," that's exactly what your mind goes to.

Any suggestions?

2. That drives me crazy, too. It is almost always work-related.
Probably the only thing to do is to try and focus on other things. I tell myself "STOP" and visualize a stop sign. Then I turn on the TV or radio and tune in to the drone to drive out the thoughts. I especially have to do this when I'm trying to fall asleep.

Good luck to you.
