I had a joke all typed up for a joke thread in GD that got locked. I can't bear to waste it, so

A city guy was driving down a country road, and off to his right was an apple orchard. As he looked over at the apple trees he noticed a farmer standing on a ladder under one of the trees, holding a pig in his arms and lifting it up so the pig could eat the apples.

The city guy couldn't believe what he was he seeing so he stopped his car, got out and walked over to the farmer.

The city guy says, "Hi. Hope you don't mind my asking, but what are you doing?"

The farmer answers, "I'm feeding the pig."

The city guy says, "But doesn't it take an awful lot of time to do it like that?"

The farmer says, "What's time to a pig?"

(rimshot)
