my one and only trip to Vegas I hit $100 on the dollar slots with my last buck right as we were leaving.
paid for the run up there - I think the boyfriend and I each had $50 for the trip (cheapo college days, think it was new year's eve 1979-80)

buddy of mine won a pickup truck worth about $10000 a few years ago but spent over $30,000 to win it.
Every time I saw him he would tell me about winning $2 or 3,000 at the casino then one day he said he was $189,000 in debt and had to file bankruptcy.
