Dilemma
You loved a person for years but never acted on it, though it was clear you and that person were destined for each other.

You visited each other for years but never really made "real" your relationship, though it felt implied.

At one point your partner chose to initiate a physical relationship with someone else, admitting it might jeopardize your relationship and wondering if it was a big mistake.

You deal with the trauma by cutting ties to that person and sailing solo for several months. Finally, a friend directs you to contact someone who turns out to be a fantastic match for you. You talk, you travel to meet each other, you connect -- you think you've found your life partner.

You've actually made serious decisions about changing your life -- moving, changing careers, dealing with pets and renters, etc. -- and the old "love of your life" comes back into the picture via a "last chance" email.

What. The. Fuck. Do. You. Do.
