Once upon a time, there was a little birdie in his nest waiting for his parents to bring him food. Along came a teenage bird who started talking to the baby bird. “You can fly if you try” said the teenage bird. “I’ll help you, come on.”
The baby bird, encouraged by his new friend, stood up on the side of the nest and with a PLOP fell into the snow below. The teenage bird scared by the development, left, abandoning his little friend to the elements.
The baby bird soon realized it was in trouble. The freezing cold was starting to seep into its bones and it knew it would soon die.
About the time the baby bird was giving up hope, along came a cow. The cow dropped a big ole pile of shit right on top of the baby bird. “Ew, gross,” thought the baby bird. But as a few minutes went by the baby bird realized it was no longer freezing. As a matter of fact the baby bird realized that it was quite warm and comfy in the cow pile.
The baby bird, realizing it wasn’t going to die, became quite happy and started chirping and singing to celebrate. Being led to the bird by it’s chirping and singing, along came a fox and the fox ate the baby bird.
The moral of the story is: Not everyone who is nice to you is your friend. Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy. And when you are warm and happy, it’s best to keep your big mouth shut.
