I want my old phone number back but can't for some security reason.

Before cellphones I didn't have this problem.

1. You can request one with easy to remember numbers...
My friend just got a new cellphone and requested some really easy numbers.. ya know kinda like
(using movie prefixes) 555-1212.

2. When I first got a cell phone (late bloomer, maybe 4-5 years ago tops)...
.
...I didn't know I could look my number up on my phone, so when
I was filling out job apps and needed my callback number, for
MONTHS, I had to call friends and ask, "If you were gonna call
me, what number would you dial?"
.
.
True story.
.

3. I have to have the number wrote down for now.
It will take me about a month to really remember the number and not give the old one.

I had a great phone number.

4. It took me three years to learn my cell number
And longer to learn Mr. csziggy's. Of course, his was programmed into my phone so I did not have to learn it. But I did not learn mine because I seldom even turn the phone on and use it even less. I pretty much know it now, but I have to stop and think about it to get it right.

6. Five decades of watching the NFL has drummed certain numbers into my head.
I just string together a few famous players.

Figure it's a coin-flip on whether or not that'll work for you. (Female, maybe not. Texan, maybe so.)

7. Cell phones make it easy not to remember phone numbers.
With a built in phonebook and ID who needs remember phone numbers.

Now I know maybe 5 phone numbers.

8. I know, right?
Still, it seems the only number I ever have to remember is my own!
