Man struck by lightning at while playing golf on the Freeway...
Pinellas County emergency officials reported that a man had been injured after being struck by lightning at the Feather Sound Country Club at 2:58 p.m.

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue said the 66-year-old man was playing golf and the lightning struck him while he was standing out on the freeway , which caused him to fall to the ground.

Fire officials say he had no burns and he is in good shape, but shaken up a bit.

The man has been taken to Bayfront Medical Center as a precaution.

2. Jeez, what are the odds of that?
I would have thought he'd be more likely to be hit by a tour bus on the freeway. Some folks are just plain unlucky.

4. Lee Trevino once said . . .
If you're caught by a lightning storm while out golfing, hold a 9-iron over your head. Even God Almighty can't hit a 9-iron, according to Trevino.
